# AbacatePay Automatic webhook retries

Behavior change - AbacatePay. medium severity. In effect.

Webhook deliveries that fail temporarily are now retried automatically at 5 seconds, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 5 hours and 10 hours, up to 7 attempts over about 18 hours, for v1 and v2 webhooks in dev mode and production. Retries apply to 30-second timeouts, connection/DNS/TLS errors, 5xx, 408 and 429; 3xx and other 4xx are not retried, and 410 still disables the webhook. Every attempt carries the same event id, so endpoints that do not deduplicate by id may process the same payment more than once.
