# BigCommerce Selected shipping option now matches available options in createCheckout

The Storefront GraphQL API is rolling out, over the coming weeks, a fix for createCheckout selecting a shipping option that was not in the consignment's availableShippingOptions. It affects createCheckout requests that set selectRecommendedOption: true or shippingOptionSelectionStrategy for stores whose shipping rates depend on discounts, order total or product dimensions, including carrier-calculated rates. selectedShippingOption and shippingCost now match one of the available options; no request changes are needed.
