# Cloudflare Account creation API rejects names longer than 65 characters

Since September 27, 2026, POST /accounts rejects account names longer than 65 characters with HTTP 400 instead of silently truncating them. PUT /accounts/{account\_id} already enforced the limit, which applies to organization accounts too.
