# @deepgram/react 0.2.0 adds runtime agent controls with breaking API changes

@deepgram/react 0.2.0 adds sendAgentMessage() with default, queue or interrupt behavior, updateListen(), updateThink(), updateSpeak() and updatePrompt(), typed protocol-notification callbacks, and a thinking mode with isThinking state. Upgrading needs code changes: exhaustive AgentMode switches must handle thinking, public context and hook result types add required members, registerClientTool() returns an unsubscribe function, useDeepgramAgent().start() starts a fresh session and clears conversation, and a manual start() call rejects on failure.
