# DigitalOcean Harness Runtime BYOT registration requires a recommended base template

Harness Runtime Bring-Your-Own-Template registration now requires a recommended base template: codex-base, opencode-base, claude-code-base, hermes-base, or langgraph-base. The legacy bases (coding-codex, coding-opencode, coding-claude-code, coding-hermes, langgraph) remain available for existing custom templates and their rebuilds; BYOT support for them will be removed in a future release.
