# Firebase Remote Config in JavaScript SDK 13.0.0 stops false CONFIG\_UPDATE\_STREAM\_ERROR events on backgrounding

In Firebase JavaScript SDK 13.0.0, onConfigUpdated no longer emits false-positive CONFIG\_UPDATE\_STREAM\_ERROR events when the app goes to the background, these expected closes no longer add a reconnection backoff penalty, and the SDK reconnects if the app returns to the foreground before the connection finishes closing.
