# Notion API MCP search drops unavailable filters instead of failing

notion-search and notion-ai-search calls that request a filter or sort the workspace's plan does not include now run the supported part of the search instead of returning a validation\_error. The response adds a notices array naming the dropped fields, and results can be broader than requested and sorted by relevance. notion-ai-search content search on a plan without AI access now runs a Notion-only keyword search instead of returning an upgrade error.
