# Notion API Partial update\_content edits return warnings

Update page markdown and the notion-update-page MCP tool now apply matching edits and report unmatched edits in warnings with code no\_match or indentation\_mismatch. The request fails only when no content-changing edit matches. Previously, REST skipped unmatched edits without reporting them, while MCP failed the entire call.
