# Plaid Account subtypes will be subdivided

Breaking change - Plaid. medium severity. In effect.

Effective October 11, 2026, the home equity subtype covers HELOCs only (home equity loans move to a new home equity loan subtype) and commercial covers commercial loans only (commercial lines of credit move to a new commercial line of credit subtype). Clients filtering on these subtypes in Link must add the new subtypes to keep their coverage.

The deadline passed on Oct 11, 2026.
