# PlanetScale Heroku Postgres migrations use deferred index rebuilds

The Heroku Migrator now drops secondary indexes on PlanetScale during the initial copy and rebuilds them after the data lands. It also migrates every application schema, not just public. Users of pg\_partman must pause maintenance before migration and resume it on PlanetScale after cutover.
