# sentry-ruby 7.0.0 removes enable\_logs and enable\_metrics

Sentry Ruby SDK 7.0.0 is a major release: logs and metrics are on by default and the enable\_logs and enable\_metrics options are removed; config.otlp.setup\_otlp\_traces\_exporter and config.otlp.setup\_propagator now default to false; send\_default\_pii is deprecated in favor of a granular data\_collection config. With sentry-rails, structured logging is on by default.
