# Stripe.js Endive: empty optional address fields no longer block Checkout Session confirmation in Elements

In the Endive release of Stripe.js, Elements with Checkout Sessions stops format-validating empty optional address fields, so customers can confirm without fields their country does not require. Integrations that relied on Stripe.js to require such fields must collect and validate them in their own form. Earlier Stripe.js versions keep the stricter behavior.
