# Stripe 2026-09-30.endive: Enforces collection of billing address parameters for non-EEA SEPA Direct Debit payments

For SEPA Direct Debit payment methods with non-EEA IBANs (including UK and Swiss), Stripe now requires billing address city and postal\_code in addition to line1 and country when creating or updating PaymentMethods and creating, updating or confirming PaymentIntents and SetupIntents. Requests missing them fail. Stripe says this affects all API versions.
