# Vercel Sandbox.create() now resolves only when the sandbox is ready

Sandbox.create() now resolves after snapshot restoration completes, so the first command or file operation no longer waits for restoration. Startup errors reject Sandbox.create() instead of surfacing during the first operation. Creation takes about 50 ms longer at p50, with potentially larger increases for uncached snapshots; total time through the first operation is unchanged.
