# WooCommerce Product CSV importer matching and cleanup changes

When “Update existing products” is enabled, the importer now matches by GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN if ID and SKU are absent. A non-blank identifier with no match skips the row instead of creating a product; matches with a different product type are refused. Import cleanup now removes only temporary placeholder products created by that import, rather than running site-wide orphan deletes.
